So Long

The school life of me, this picture represents it perfectly.

I have nine, hear me!!! NINE days of school left. However, in those nine days I have pretty much nothing to do! Finals? NOPE! Projects? Why would I? Showing up is all I have to do. And I’m pretty sure if I wasn’t in soccer I would skip. I’m just sayin….

I’ll stop talking about that and say that with all this excitement I’m a little sad it’s all ending. I mean my senior prom is done and over with! It came and went so fast!

Now I have all these last couple days left where I just hang out and have fun! So I’m making the most of it by procrastinating for Coach Davis as much as possible!

Before I say good bye I have to give a shout out to my two junior partners, Ali Randolph and Kaitlynn Keller :)

Now, goodbye to my HTV blog readers… I know you’ll miss reading these Mom!!

Boring Present, College in the Future

Well. I don’t know when Coach decided to stop giving us blog topics, but it really makes the blogging process 100 times harder!

I’ll just talk about what is on everyone seniors mind. We have like 25 days of school left!! Everyone always asked me if I’m excited and I immediately say “Yes!”; however, when I think about it I’m scared out of my mind at the same time. I mean high school is just so easy, even if it is also obnoxious. It will be very different, and I’ll meet lots of new people! With that will come lots of homework, which is the scary part!

Another aspect is the dorm life. I have lots of friends attending Evangel next year with me, but I chose to room with a random stranger! I know, insane right? I love making new friends, but what if this girl turns out to be insane! We will be sleeping in the same room! I just have to think positive and hope she likes to share clothes :)

Now, I’ll stop talking about my future college life. This is what my life consists of right now:

Procrastinating at school

Soccer practice/ Games

Laying around

Work

Dreaming about prom

Exactly, I HAVE NO LIFE RIGHT NOW!
But Summer is just around the corner for us seniors! Sorry underclassmen….

Scatter Brained

Another blog…

Again I have no topics to go from here so don’t blame me if this is jumping from topic to topic.

I will start out by talking about how this has been a very, very LONG winter. I have never felt so stuck inside for so long. However, there is hope! There has been sixty degree weather this past wee, and I couldn’t be happier! My toes are free and my skin can feel the sun again. It is so nice! Now that the warm weather has come, I am awaiting something else.

My high school career is almost over :)

I have about forty days of school left and I couldn’t be happier. I will talk about that in my last blog though, so stay tuned.

And lastly, our team is going to The FINAL FOUR! So everyone should wear orange and blue and go to Columbia. Go Hornets!

That is really all I can think about to write about because now I must go to soccer practice.

2 years and 2 days :)

Today Involves

Well today February 2, 2010 is a two hour early release day here at The Hill. For my blog I’m going to run you through my two hour early release day. Be prepared for excitement!…. sarcasm. (background info- NO FIRST BLOCK)

7:00- Alarm goes off, I barely open my eyes to press snooze.

7:05- Alarm goes off again, I press snooze and get on facebook via phone. I’m trying to keep my eyes open.

7:10- Alarm goes off and I slowly crawl out of bed after getting off facebook, and posting something about wanting to stay in bed.

(At this moment you’ll notice I am not a morning person.)

7:12 to 8:43- This time includes me eating cereal in the warmth of my parents bed (Note- Parents are not in the bed. I knew if I got back into my bed I’d fall back asleep). Complaining to my mom. Mumbling to my dad.  Showering. Blow-drying hair. Applying make-up. Straightening hair. Choosing today’s outfit. (Unusually cute for how lazy I’m feeling) Getting dressed.(Note- I was listening to country music for 99% of these activities)

9:00- English 4. Wrote a story the entire time. Also drank some Coke for a source of caffeine.

10:00- HTV. Found out I don’t have to write a web story today. Hugged Coach for that news. Watched Carrie Underwood’s new video- Loved it! Write HTV blog.

(Note everything that happens after this time has not actually happened, therefor I’m guessing. Enjoy.)

11:00- Teacher Mentor with Coach Davis. I may have to “shoot a story” at this time. Maybe at Evangel. Visiting my mother.

12:45- School is released.

1:00ish- Meet friends at Pacific Kitchen for best chinese food in the world. High Potential to eat too much, but I will have fun.

6:15- Go to HTV Trivia Night. I will be selling the drinks…. I think.

When Trivia’s over- Go home. Put on sweats. Watch HGTV. Go to bed eventually.

I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED THIS!

From Kelsi Moos- Eat more chinese food.

Nothing, Really

I am writing this blog to all people who eat out. Tip Well. It’s just that simple. I just recently got a job as a waitress, and I’m not gonna lie. I like it a lot! However, those people who don’t tip at all can ruin someone’s night! I never realized how important it was before, but it is part of the person’s salary! I’m not saying you have to tip thirty percent when your server is horrible, but even a few dollars are better than nothing! And if you liked your waiter or waitress and have a couple extra dollars leave it for him or her! Now that I’ve got that off my chest, I will stop nagging you.

We are not doing an HTV story this month, because that is what broadcast 1 is doing so sorry, no updates there.

We got a good amount of snow yesterday, but we still had to come to school :/ The only thing I can hope for now is that we get a lot Wednesday and Thursday, and our superintendent decides to be nice.

I will leave you with an apology about this blog because I had nothing to write about. Sorry.

Laugh More :P

History Is Ours!

I will start off this blog by congratulating our wonderful football boys and coaches!

Last night (Wednesday Nov. 4) was probably one of the best nights of my senior year. We had so much fun cheering on our team! We were chanting the cheers with the cheerleaders and doing on own cheers and we really had to be driving the other team crazy!

Speaking of the other team, the Pacific Indians, had the worst fans ever! The only time I saw their students stand and cheer was when their cheerleaders ran over to the bleachers to throw t-shirts out. How pathetic is that! They didn’t even cheer on their team the few times they scored!

I think we totally intimidated them! Our boys came out at the beginning of the game and demanded attention, and we most definitely did not stall on cheering them on! We even got told to “shut-up” from a Pacific fan who walked in front of us to get to the concession stand. If you ask me that is just unnecessary rudeness!

… Although we did beat them. On their home field. AND they hadn’t lost on that field all year. Oh well, we’re better :)

We have the best football team in school history. In the fifty-two years Hillcrest has been open, the football team has gone to play-offs twice, before us. Those two times the teams did not win that play-off game. Now, on the third time to play-offs, we finally won our game! So, yes, history is ours!

Props out to #82

My Realization About Harry Potter

Well… Senior year… More HTV Blogs…

The first topic is “your favorite summer movie”. I didn’t actually go to many movies this summer that I remember, but there is Harry Potter! This could be a long topic just to warn you! Let’s visit back to my good friend, Chelsea, and her birthday, July 15th. Now Chelsea has always been a Harry Potter fan, so it was only natural to go see the new Harry Potter movie for her birthday. I, on the other hand, never understood what was so fascinating about a nerdy, magical boy in wire-rimmed glasses!

Anyways, back to July 15th. I was a good friend and went to go see this new movie that appealed to me in no way, and on top of everything else it was very late and we were on the second row. (I know I sound like a Negative-Nancy, but keep reading!)

After the movie, realization hit me! Harry Potter is awesome! So to answer Coach’s first topic question Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the best movie of the summer!

Now to finish my story, and prevent Harry Potter fans all over the WWW from hating me… After I saw the movie, I was talking to my boyfriend about how good the movie was. He, Matt, who has read all the books, and been a fan for a long time convinced me to read all the books. I will proudly say I have read all seven Harry Potter’s and will probably read them again before the end of the year. :)

The only other topic I like that Coach gave us is “I am so over…”

I am so over complainers. I am a fairly nice person and therefore can’t be rude to people’s faces. So am I using the fact that I have to blog for a class to say this… If something is wrong with you feel free to tell me. However, if something is constantly wrong with you, you should really consider finding a website that will provide you with your own blog, you can complain all you want!

A Long Wait

Well, we have less than a month left of school, and about two weeks until we say goodbye to the seniors. I’d write about how sad I am that the seniors are leaving, except I’m more sad about how stinkin’ long this school year is lasting. It really feels like it may never end… Soccer season still isn’t over! We have another HTV show to do after we finish this one! And we still aren’t reviewing for finals in some classes! It’s getting very annoying to say the least.

But enough of all that complaining, I can see the light in the end of the tunnel, summer is coming! Tuesday night volleyball league, working in the glorious Pineapple Whip stand, sunburns, swimming pools, seven thirty volleyball work-outs, friends, late-night trips to nowhere, friends, lakes, friends, and popsicles! I CAN”T WAIT!!

Then will come senior year, which I don’t feel ready for yet. I’m keeping my mind on summer! Congrats this year’s seniors I love you all!

End :(

Alright I am sitting on the bus with about ten other people waiting for everyone else to get on the bus so we can go home. You may think we are dumb to be waiting to get our amazing bus tour over with, but we are smart! You see, everyone elsed missed the most hilarious moment on this trip….. Our big, black, sleek bus has got a microphone on it for everyone to hear what Coach Davis is saying. While we were sitting on the bus waiting, Michael decided he wanted to talk into the microphone only to declare he had nothing to say. Then all of a sudden we hear a ladies voice talking about how we would want to take a swim but we have to be in our rooms by eleven. None of us could figure out what was going on then we saw a big bus about thirty feet from us. It was pretty weird. Then Michael got on the microphone and said, “Everyone turn to your left.” Right at that second everyone on the bus turned to their leftand looked right at our bus! It was so so so funny! Then Rob got on and started talking to them!

Anyways this trip is almost over. I must say I am sad and happy all at the same time. I will miss all my roomies and hearing their voices 24/7. But I am also very happy to sleep in my own bed and have my own bathroom and be at home.

Now I’m going to list something about every hotel and town because Lindsey did that and I thought it was a good ides.

Chicago: Super tiny hotel room. Really nice doorman!! Pretty city, and amazing pizza!

Cleveland: Awesome and huge hotel room, and yummy breakfast. Cool city, but we didn’t really see it :/

New York: Nice hotel, except we didn’t have an elevator. Ha ha. Really cool city with tons of people pushing through the sidewalks. Really tasty cheesecake :)

DC: I love this town! I don’t realize the significance of the history, but I still think it’s cute!

Virginia Beach: Awesome shower! Double-headed!! Too bad it was cold… but I ate really good raspberry sorbet there!

Charlotte: Mert’s!! An awesome little restaurant!

Nashville: Amazing food! Except we aren’t in our church-town Springfield anymore…. that fact is obvious.

I loved this trip it was so fun!! I love my snuggle buddy :)
